<title>New User Involvement Project Launched</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernblackburn.co.uk/news/2008/June/new-user-involvement-project-launched.html</link>
<description>We have now launched our new pilot project to support older people to have their say on how local health and care services are developed.
The User Involvement project will run for 12 months initially, working with groups of older people or individuals to gather their views on new, planned or existing services &amp;#150; so that older people really can get the services they need! You could also volunteer to help us with this project.

<title>Appeal for Tombola Prizes</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernblackburn.co.uk/news/2008/March/appeal-for-tombola-prizes.html</link>
<description>Last year we had 2 tombolas during our Age Concern Week for the first time ever, raising over &amp;#163;500 between them! Generating that amount of money was all down to the wonderful gifts that are donated to us by people like yourselves. So please look into your cupboards and drawers as there may be the odd gift that you didn&amp;#146;t really want but didn&amp;#146;t know what to do with.</description>

This gift will provide us with vital income to support our Advice and Information Service. This service provides help to over 6,500 local older people each year on a range of issues.

We are pleased to acknowledge the support this legacy provides and thank all of our donors and supporters.

<title>What's hidden in your wardrobe? Could it raise money for us?</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernblackburn.co.uk/news/2008/January/whats-hidden-in-your-wardrobe-could-it.html</link>
<description>We recently received a large donation of authentic 1960s and 70s period clothes. These came from the family of a 96 year old lady, who had been supported by our befriending service for many years, after she had passed away.
This donation has raised several hundred pounds for us &amp;#150; vital funds to support our services for local older people.
