The flood waters have washed away thousands of acres of crops, government buildings, schools, markets, bridges, railway tracks and homes. The emergency response will be targeted at the most vulnerable older people and their families in Nowsheria district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As the flood waters continue to rise, disease is now a big worry. The tuition service provides a free one-to-one basic introduction to computers through six weekly courses, and is available to anyone over 50.
