<title>Haiti Appeal &amp;#150; your donation can save a life</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernblackburn.co.uk/news/2010/february/haiti-appeal-your-donation-can-save-a.html</link>
<description>Haiti&amp;#146;s worst earthquake for two centuries has devastated one of the world&amp;#146;s poorest countries. Older people will potentially be among the worst affected because many will be too frail to overcome the trauma and will be unable to fend for themselves.</description>

<title>Appeal for old foreign cash</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernblackburn.co.uk/news/2009/november/appeal-for-old-foreign-cash.html</link>
<description>We are appealing for people to donate any old or unwanted foreign coins or notes. In particular we are looking for currency that is no longer valid since the Euro was introduced. We can turn this unusable, unwanted currency into real cash to support the provision of our services to local older people. So why not have a root around at the back of drawers and cupboards to see what&amp;#146;s lying around?
